Aloha and welcome to Director’s Notes! I am delighted to embark on the journey through the country with the Puna Men’s Chorus this season. Well, we won’t physically be traveling the country; but through our country music songs we’ll be exploring the regions of our country. We’ll sing songs that have become folk tunes, part of iconic Americana. And we’ll introduce newer pieces that are sure to become classics over time.
We’ve gotten off to a great start in rehearsals and initial committee and board meetings. I’d like to draw your attention to our FaceBook page – if you are an old member, go check it out and see what’s up these days. If you’re new to FaceBook or haven’t “Like”d the page yet, go for it! And invite friends. We’re looking forward to using social media to get the word out about Puna Men’s Chorus.
