Director’s Notes

As I enter my last season at the helm of this chorus, I am reminded of our roots and how we began. Back in February ’07, it simply took two men daydreaming about a men’s chorus in Puna to spark all that has happened since. Of course, I owe the success of this chorus to the many volunteers who have committed countless hours of sweat and tears to this organization. Grounded in Puna, we have reached out and touched and have been touched by so many. My deepest gratitude to all who have made this organization what it is and have helped make my dreams come true. I hope EVERYONE will come out and see us in December for our “HoliDAZED!” shows. That will surely help me go out in style!

Aloha! I’m dazzled by Daron’s talents, dedication and attention to creating a creative, safe space. Truly, a “choral diplomat” if ever this is one. Daron’s gentle audition allowed me to scratch off a 25 year old ‘to-do’ item. That item? “Get back to singing!”

Is this item on your to do list? Yes! Then put an audition onto YOUR schedule!

Too afraid to sing in public? No worries! We’ve got plenty of other places we can use your help with!!

Bowing in gratitude for Daron’s vision, humor and passion!
