The Puna Men’s Chorus is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed individual to serve as our new Executive Director. This is a paid position involving an average of 15 hours per week, with flexible hours that are determined by performance season and current projects of the Board of Directors.

Job Description
Position Title: Executive Director
Reports to: PMC Board of Directors
Position Purpose: To provide administrative leadership to the PMC Board of Directors in implementing the mission and vision of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the PMC Board of Directors in supporting and promoting the mission and vision of the organization.
- Implement direction and policies and procedures of the organization.
- In collaboration with the Marketing Committee, develop and implement marketing goals and strategies.
- In collaboration with the Fund Raising Committee, develop and implement fund raising goals and strategies.
- In collaboration with the Fund Raising Chair, oversee the grant-writing process; including research, submission, follow-through, record-keeping and reporting.
- In collaboration with the Web Master, insure that the website is reflective of the mission and vision of the organization.
- Function as Chair of the Executive Committee and work in collaboration with the Strategic Planner to facilitate and update ongoing Strategic Planning sessions as needed.
- Develop budget for Board review and approval.
- Research performance venues and contract venue services as directed by the Board.
- Research and secure liability insurance as needed for performances.
- Apply for, manage and maintain music rights as needed.
- Attend monthly Board meetings and Committee meetings as needed.
- Oversee business relationships with other community organizations and local businesses as needed.
- Provide administrative support for the Board including preparation of Board Meeting Agendas; respond to voice, emails, and website inquiries and provide general communication to and on behalf of the Board of Directors.
- Maintain and keep current all Board forms and By-Laws.
- Other duties as assigned and delegated by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of marketing strategies
- Knowledge of fund-raising strategies
- Knowledge of grant-writing
- Knowledge of preparing and administering budgets
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
- Excellent problem solving skills, written and oral communication skills, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet schedules and time lines and have effective time management skills.
- Familiarity with local community arts organizations.
This is a part-time position with flexible hours that are determined by performance season and current projects of the Board.
