PMC Timeline – 2007

Here is a list which highlights the major strides and events of PMC since the begining in January of 2007.

Jan 2007 – Founding members have idea to start a men’s chorus in Puna.

Feb-Mar 2007 -Flyers distributed announcing two tryouts held in Feb and Mar 2007

Mar 2007 – First rehearsals start at Pahoa Neighborhood Recreation Center

Oct 2007 – First Public Performance/Outreach Performance at Open Arms MCC “Variety Show”
Program content:  variety show – In This Very Room, Irish Blessing
Location:  Ainaloa Longhouse, Pahoa, HI

Nov 2007 – Outreach Performance at First Church of Religious Science Sunday Service
Location:  Kea’au Community Center, Kea’au, HI

December 2007 – Outreach Performance at the Holiday Concert at Volcano KMC Theater
Program content:  A annual event which is free to the public and produced by the Volcano Art Center to promote joy and good will through holiday music.
Location:  Kilauea Military Camp Theater, Volcano, HI

December 22, 2007 – Christmas Caroling through streets of Pahoa. We organized our own event to help spread holiday cheer throughout Pahoa town.

December 2007 – Outreach Performance at Randolph’s Annual Community Holiday Music Evening.
Program content: Community gathering featuring music and food.
Location: Hale Pamalu, Randolph McCreight’s home in Kapoho

December 2007 – First PMC fundraiser event. We held a fundraising dance party at Paradise Bar and Grill in Kea’au. Donations were taken from community and we sang briefly.
